We should not be looking solely at counting reps on the abs machine or counting how much time we have spent on the tread machine, stationary bike, or rowing machine. We need to pay more attention to the calories we consume.
A common perception among the most active of health club addicts is that they can eat whatever you want as long as they exercise enough to work off the calories that result from what is eaten. Those of that belief pay dearly for their misinformation.
Yes, it’s true that all it takes to lose weight is to burn off move calories than you consume over a period of time. But the problems lie in the type of food that supplies the calories.
Your body is not being helped, in fact it is being harmed, by having it subjected to junk food’s empty calories instead of high quality calories that come from carbohydrates, protein, fiber that are the components of a well balanced diet.
